clifford alarm question?
Does this have a turbo timer built in to it?( probably answering my own question here) when I press the button with the boot lid on it before I remove the keys.... the car runs for about a minute then turns off, I did not see this function in the book but then I may have missed it.

No you dont, Intelistart does not have any facility to allow the car to run for 30sec/1 min etc. All you have is the channel 2 output wired to power the ignition on a timed setting. Which is also why if you do it without the engine running it will just turn the ignition on. Simon , yours does not do it cos you dont have the turbo timer option wired up.

I just had a Clifford Concept 650 fitted to my MR2
I had shopped around before I got it installed. I spoke to a local installer and he said that the Clifford alarm came with a headlight option where when you got out of the car you could leave the headlights on for walking up the drive. He told me he could install a relay into this so that it acted like a turbo timer instead.
I ended up getting a nationwide fitter up to install the alarm as they were cheaper. I spoke to the boy about this and he said they are not allowed to fit this as it invalidates the thatcham approval. It has something to do with if you car gets broken into then they can connect this feed up somehow to by pass the immobiliser.
The nationwide fitter and their biggest competitor are the 2 biggest alarm installers in the UK, so I am sure he knew what he was talking about.
