import my05 wrx alarm
Hi Guys,
Tomorrow i pick up my euro import my05 wrx. The importer have fitted a cat 1 alarm for me. Seeing as the alarm was not fitted at the factory and by the importer will my 3 year subaru warranty be affected in any way shape or form?
Any comments appreciated..
Cheers

Went for the Cobra Cat 1 on my 05 WRX import collected in March. I was informed that as Subaru use Cobra ??? there would be no warranty implications.
Good luck with the car mate what colour have you gone for ??

Thanks mickp,
I have gone for crystal grey, i have had wr blue before so fancied a change. My car had a meta alarm installed, i hope this does not affect the warranty...
I thought subaru used sigma in the uk?
Cheers,
Chris

Had my test drive in a Crystal Grey. UMMD & RRRD before going for Aqua (WR1 colour).
You could be right with the Sigma alarm. i did put a call into Subaru UK before taking the plunge and they were fine as long as it was fitted correctly and certificated.
My cars great but im already getting the urge to change spoilers and upgrade the back box. I am going to run these mods by Direct Line before i cause myself problems.
Again good luck with the motor mate hope it goes well !!!

You should also check with Subaru before you change the back box as it could affect your warranty unless your going for a PPP package..

The following thread may be of interest to those looking to add security to European spec vehicles whilst avoiding convenience and more importantly potential insurance issues:

A full Category 1 system is a must, not a Cat 2 to 1.
