Default Locking Wheel Nuts

I've just bought a scooby with 17" prodrive gold alloys but am scared one day i'll wake up to it on bricks. Its got a set of locking wheel nuts on it already but is there anything else you can fit. If not, wot are the best locking wheel nuts to use?

Dont know about 'best', what do you have now? the OE early Subaru ones do not seem especially secure, (ones with the 3 holes under a push on nut shaped cap), if you have those, maybe look at the McGard products, thats what Subaru fit now as standard. I have gone with the 'UHC' McGard ones on my Prodrive OZ wheels as they dont stick out as much as the standard ones. Do a search on McGard, that will throw up the options and some pics posted the other week.

As BrynO says the McGard ones are good.
Personally, despite the weight advantage, I'd keep away from any alloy ones - its far too easy to remove these by hammering an under-size hex socket over the alloy lock nut.

Got my mcgard nuts from halfords too - they have a little flip chart on the shelf to tell you which you need.
