Default clifford concept 300 on 93 wrx

its worked fine since i got the car 4 months ago (alarm allready fitted) but lately its been playing up. it allways unlocks fine with the fob but when locking it sometimes it makes the wrong tone. it beeps diffirently to what it should do. even does this if i open and shut all the doors, boot and bonnet. after the wrong beep the alarm will go off in say 5 seconds but it still locks tho????

dodgy boot/bonnet sensor, ultrasonics/microwave/trapped wire after the alarm has gone off, the led should give you a series of flashes, which in turn relates to which sensor is dodgy. hopefully this should get you in the right direction.

Default Wrong Chirp

It might be because the battery is going flat in the remote. Have you checked your owners manual?

look under the bonnet and find the pin switch (normally on the slam panel somewhere) there will be a spade terminal connected to it underneath, try pulling it off and leaving it off for a day or so to see if you still get the problem, with the rain and crap weather it could be a bit of water on it. Or you could sit in the car, hold down the blank button on the valet switch, arm them disarm, the led will then start to flash count the number of flashes (eg... flash.flash......flash.flash......flash.flash..... ....etc etc) this will tell you what is triggering the alarm. Post results here if you need to know more.
