Default Best/cheapest tracker

Looking into a uk turbo, Tecos are the only one that will quote me anything sensible (800FC and I'm only 23) but want a tracker.

What would you guys recommend? Something that's not to pricey but does the job.

the only one to go for is navtrak with the ADR card alert it isnt cheap at £1350 for 3 years but if you car goes you know instantly as the thief wont have the adr card so the unit sends a signle to navtrack and they phone you excellent if you car gets taken in the night with the keys while you are sleeping if you didnt know then with other systems they would have all night to lose you tracking devise and you are none the wiser.

just put this system on my wrx sti 555 2003 v-limited

Your other options are the Tracker Retrieve and Tracker Monitor by Tracker Network Ltd. Tracker Retrieve is the basic one where you have to inform Tracker and the Police before its activated and the Tracker Monitor is when your vehicle is fitted with a movement sensor, any unauthorised movement then Tracker will contact you.

If you are bothered about someone getting away with your car keys and Tracker then not calling you then go for a Anti-hijack module where you know that your car will cut off down the road with lights, horn and siren going off (attracting attention). This will work out much cheaper then a Navtrack, this will cost you approx £500 (Monitor + Hijack module).

Call us on 0121 359 1617 for any further enquires.

Before you buy one make sure Tesco have the device on their approved list.

Tesco have the tracker monitor on their approved list, but not the retrieve.

I have a tracker monitor and blackjax on my car fitted by motorguard, stellar job recommend them highly.

I'm in a similar boat, soon to buy a Turbo and a Tracker is needed. I've been doing a bit of research and the best option through Tesco insurance is to use Code Innovations 0870 607 0895.

Because of the volume of work that Tesco give them the cost of an RAC Trackstar fitted is 359 pounds with the usual 120 pounds annual fee.

So cheap insurance with discount on trackers (RAC Don't even sell them this cheap directly).

I hope that this info isn't too late for you!!

Default tracking device

I was looking into this for the same reason. JyAutoelectrics.com in the North West are apparently doing tracker monitor at £325 inc. Vat & inst.

Trackstar is removable though, so it could go in your next car. Understand that charge is about £100 for remove and reinstall.

Anyone heard of the other trackers on Tesco's website?

Spoke to Code Innovations this morning, they didn't mention any special tie up with Tesco, just that they do huge volumes and so can do them that cheap.

I was lead to believe that the huge volume was because of Tesco and the discount was for Tesco customers. He did say 'to me' that for Tesco customers they give a discount, but maybe they say that to everyone to make them think they are getting a good deal. Which I suppose they are. Anyway just passing on info to help out.
