Question

On recall what sensor is being triggered?

Question

I've had a Clifford 300 in my MY00 for the last 18 months. Until April this year it had NEVER given any false alarms, and I've left it in all sorts of places.

I moved house in April. If I leave the car on the drive, the alarm goes off fairly regularly for no particular reason. If I leave it in the garage it's fine and if I leave it on the road 6 foot from the drive it's fine.

Any ideas what would cause it to go off (usually at 3AM much to my neighbour's consternation) ONLY when on my drive and not when ANYWHERE else.

Thanks,

Nick

If the diagnostics show up the cause of the alarm condition being the proximity sensor, there will probably be some external strong r.f. interference, posibly (mad as it seems) from a dodgy old microwave oven. If it seems ok elsewhere, when you park at home simply disable the prox by arming the alarm, then pressing the lock and headlight buttons on your remote at the same time which will give four indicator flashes as confirmation that the prox is disabled for the rest of the period of being armed till next time you disarm and arm again, at which time it is reinstated to normal operation.
