Will leaving the internal alarm disabled for long periods (i.e. weeks)affect it long term? I've done this because some heavy handed misuse of the remote by a garage has made the button ultra-sensitve (the plastic retainer inside has cracked) - for instance it's liable to activate itself just by moving around in a coat pocket.

I had a problem with my clifford remote, arm button used to stick on, not through neglect just three years of use.

Called my local Clifford Dealer (not the dealer that fitted it) they came out next day with a new remote and programmed it up.

Clifford offer warranty for life so it didn't cost me a penny

You should be covered too, so give your local dealer a call.

Cheers

Chris
