The standard fit sigma on my MY00 has developed a nasty habit of going off a few seconds after arming it but it does do it all the time has any one else had similar probs. cheers

nope cant say i've had any problems.
i've set mine so it beeps loudly on both setting it and unsetting it but i've never had it go off for a few seconds ?
have you been to your dealer about it ?

Could be a sensor fault indicating that either boot/bonnet/door is not closed or if it sounds 30 secs after arming it is probably the ultrasonics being too sensitive.
Try switching off the interior protection (with ignition on, press fob, then switch off, shut doors and arm)The indicators will flash 8 times instead of the usual 4.
Try also shutting off the vents to see if this helps.

Just out of interest, are you holding the remote button down for more than a few seconds? I know that if you do you effectively "test" the alarm - it'll go off until you unset, and reset the alarm again.
