They seem to get the thumbs up on here all the time ,they seem to be the best 'wheel lock ' out there .

They can take at least 10mins to remove with tools, making a lot of noise. You will usually find it knackers the steering wheel.

I think they are a very good visual deterant for your boggo car theif. He peers in through the window, sees it and moves onto an "easier" target.

Excellent deterent, easy to put on/take off (a bit of a bitch to carry around though) but for £46 from Costco I think they are a bargain. A mate of mine in the trade (recovery...not theft!)also agrees they can take upto 10 minutes with POWER TOOLS! to remove.

Last year my car was stalked by a bunch of 4 blokes on my driveway. They got disturbed but came back an hour later...obviously pondering how to remove the disk lok. They never touched the car in the end!

Hotty

I have one on my Scoob. Excellent deterant, as the others have said it is just a 10min deterant with the right tools. They see it and decide they cant be @rsed with taking it off so they move on to the next. 90% of theives are opportunists, it will get rid of most of these. No matter what you do to your car, if one of the other 10% want it, they'll have it

GET ONE ! Great piece of mind (if that ever exists with a Scoob)

Thumbs up

I use one as well, as mentioned a good visual deterrent .

As for carrying around, if you buy online (www.disklokuk.co.uk) you get a free carry case that velcro's to the boot floor which is excellent and will not budge even when driving 'enthusiastically'

Having owned several Vauxhalls in my time, I haven't lost one when its had a Disklock on it.

Its the 'hassle' factor of having to go through the deadlocks, then you need to kill the alarm and immobiliser, then theres the ignition lock, and then theres the small matter of a poxy disklock to remove.

Its an extra barrier. On its own, with no other security, the opportunist might be tempted, but alongside all the other security devices, its just too long a job to remove.

As an added incentive, always park your car with your front wheels turned toward the kerb and then put the disklock on. You have now just prevented opportunists in crappy old Transits from towing it away. Sure, they might put a dolly under the rear wheels, but this all takes time.

My Cav Turbo and my Senator both have them, and have remained untouched for a long while now
