Question

I have a UK MY00 with the standard sigma alarm/immobiliser. I want to install a blitz turbo timer but am unsure of what effect this will have on the functioning of the alarm and immobiliser.

Can anyone tell me if installing the turbo timer will prevent me from arming the alarm until the timer has switched off the engine?

Any info appreciated........

Steve

still got the sigma alarm on mine with a blitz turbo timer. can;t set the alarm til it switches off but you can lock the doors with the key. suppose it depends where you are and how long your gonna leave the car to whether you need to set the alarm but i find it abit useless!! no point in the turbo timer if you've got wait til it switches off til you can arm the alarm!!

Cheers Simon,

That's what I suspected so I've decided not to bother. I heard there was a "mod" you could do to the alarm wiring which would make it work properly but I don't fancy tinkering with that without knowing exactly what the consequences are!

Thanks for the info
