Standard Subaru Alarm - how loud?

Is it just me or is the standard Subaru alarm siren, erm, well not very fr*gg'in loud!!! :-(

I set mine off intentionally today (to check how the lockdown/keypad disarm stuff works), and I have to agree, it's not that loud. I'm sure the cr@ppy Harry Moss one I had it my first hot hatch was deafening by comparison. However, I've always maintained that the best place for the siren is INSIDE the car ;-)
