Should be alarmed ! (been out and checked mine - it works !)
On the manual it shows as 4 flashes when you ask for last trigger.
There is a plunger just to the left of the lock (bumper not Tailgate) check its not stuck down or the wires have come off.
Hope this helps

Switch seems fine and i've also noticed that if i lock the car up with the windows open, and return 10mins later, i can lean in and put stuff in the car without the alarm going off.
Car is in for some work on Tues, do i need them to look at this too??

Andy,
I've sent the M30 manual to your profile address.
There is a section on how to test the ultrasonics, give it a go !
May keep the bill down.

Any chance you could email the M30 manual to me as well? Reading some of the security threads it seems there is more info in it than in the Subaru manual!
Thanks a lot

Thinking about it your ultrasonice won't work if you set them with the windows down !
They learn the enviroment they are in after setting the alarm, if the windows are down they will adjust accordingly.
I had a MGF b4 the Scoob (no hairdresser jokes please) and if the roof was left down the ultrasonics disabled themselves.
Have you tried the test I sent ?

Sounds as if you have a wiring / fuse problem.
Hazards are not turn on or offable.
Heard of a similar problem not to long ago.
Check my posts - I'm sure I replied to somebody with this problem.
I'd do it for you but I'm off home to enjoy the sunshine b4 it disappears for another year.

PIN changed. Tried ultra sonics test. They reckoned to be armed as suggested, but it didnt work. I didn't trigger it whilst it was settling!!!
I've tried manually setting the ultrasonics to the default values but it isnt making any difference.
The weird thing is, although i havent tried to put this feature on, it now locks/arms the car after 60secs of being unlocked and no ignition...

Ah sorted it now, along with enabling MORE features i didnt ask for LOL... At some point it beeped whenever i opened a door to get out, but to turn that off i had to turn off the door alert which tells u if a door is still ajar when u arm the system, which i wasn't enthused about.
Lowered the ultrasonic threshold to 5 and set it to 8 triggers in 1 sec.
Works a treat when someone sticks their arm in, just waiting till it gets windy LOL.
Boot still doesnt trigger though

Erm - this is were my knowledge runs out !
Sound as if the boot trigger is down to a broken wire.
Follow the wire back from the boot catch as look for any marks where its been trapped or something has dropped on it.
Other than that its time to get volt meters out or take it to a local alarm specialist.
Good luck getting it sorted.
Chris
Edited for one last thought- you say the catch is ok, but is the plunger that hits it, connecting correctly ?
