Anyone know what I need to do to achieve this. Will it work with current alarm? Or do I need an extra bit?

You need an extra module. I was quoted £100 (ish) from Subaru. Have yet to ask a Sigma fitter for a price.

Cheers

Would advise clifford smartwindows - seems safer than majority of rollups which just use thermal trips.

Does that work with the alarm fitted on the STi 8 though?

Just spoken to my local friendly dealer. Seems easier than STFWing

Smartwindows 4 work only with G4 clifford devices.
There is an older vesion still available which'll do the job. However, that's overkill for what you asked as it allows you to remotely open/close and frig about with the windows.

For total closure, what you want are DEI window rollups, or any window rollups that are processor controlled rather than just thermally tripped. The DEI stuff retains its memory when you remove the battery, unlike some others, and apparently are the dogs.

Around 85 quid for a pair of windows, fitted, apparently. So double that if you want rears as well as fronts done

Cheers,
Nick.
