Video Camera System Recommendations
#1
I have been having problems with the local ******* over the last few months and the camels back has now been broken by the proverbial straw. Last week I discovered someone had had a bit of a disco on my bonnet causing scratches to the bonnet, wing, smashing the number plate and they have also keyed the back door.
Does anybody have any recomendations for a video camera system that bolts onto the side of the house and records to your VCR or something similar. I have seen a few in B+Q and similar places but they don't seem to have a great enough viewing distance. More really for seeing who is at your front door ratther than monitoring your driveway or housefront.

Have a (good) browse around http://www.rfconcepts.co.uk/!
Not the cheapest, but an excellent range of good quality cameras (and loads of other bits).

Get something that actually is worthwhile. Some of the stuff out there is not any use whatsoever when it comes to identifying culprits, etc, so is more of a deterrant. Trouble is, ******* know that too...

Another vote for RF Concepts - excellent range of products, good proces and great service.
I've got a small colout camera & a modulator into my video distribution so I can see it from any TV in the house. I don't bother recording it though.
Mine is located at the end of my drive looking back at the house - that way it covers the cars and the whole of the front of my house.
I have a low light hi-res colour cony camera which works fine for me, but they even have some with built in infra red lamps with a hell of a visible range.
