How to enroll a GT Alarm key fob?
#1
Hello all,
Both of my key fob's (GT82TXC) have packed up and I am sure they are not broken. The last one stopped working and I only used it 2mins before and it worked OK. I replaced the battery but the old battery was not very flat anyway, this made no difference.
So I thought that maybe they just need re-enrolling? I heard that you need to do this when using a brand new key fob. Does anyone have any instructions on how to do it?
My alarm is a GT 136 + 146 and was fitted late 1998, the imobiliser fob still works so at least I can start the car still, just the 2 remotes do not work any more .
Thanks for your help.
2pin.

You need to find the alarm brain and there are dip switches on the side, when you find them there is a sequence (but cant remember)you flick one switch to program.
Give GT a call they are very helpfull and if they dont help(but I'm sure they will) I will have a look for the instructions that they faxed me before

I seem to recall dipswitch No:3. Disarm alarm, turn ignition on, flick dipswith up and press remote, LED will flash to confirm new remote, do this for old remotes too ! Dipswitch down, ign off & test.

Help!
Hi there. I know this thread is very old now but this is the only instance I can find of the exact same problem that we are having as detailed by 2pin. Fatlarry did you manage to find the instructions that they sent you? 2pin did Nick@avs sequence work? Thanks in advance.
