CD Bramall just told me it isnt possible, and tried to make me buy a "mod which stops interferance".
Still no use to me if i want to total-immobilise it.

No you can do it yourself. As long as you know the current PIN code, which I assume you do? Can't remember off the top of my head how I did it but it's in the manual, I'll look it up tonight and post a reply.

As long as you know the current PIN code, you can do it.
If you don't know the current PIN, you're reduced to begging your dealer to sort it out for you.
(Any posts giving information on how to circumvent the PIN will be deleted for obvious reasons)

I dont know the number.
I didn't think anyone would post how to do it here, but i hoped someone would know if it was possible from a dealer.
Dont like the idea of a) i am totally shafted when remote fails and b) someone else out there possibly knows my code

When i bought my WRX it had a sigma M30 alarm which I didn't know the pin code for. I took it to an authorised sigma dealer (Car Magic in Harrow) and they set a new pin number for me. This and a new keyfob cost me £70.

Hey,
You do not need to know the current pin number to change it too a new one. You can do it yourself without visiting a dealer.
I didn't know mine, MY00 M30 Sigma, but got the info from a guy off here, i can email anyone the instructions if they need it.
£70 for a new remote ... i paid £30 at Days of Chelmsford, i was going to programme it myself, but they did that too.
