How can I immobilise my car?

I dunno if this would apply to the Scoob, but i used to do it to my 1.9 GTi all the time. There was a fuse for the fuel pump which i replaced with a blown one, which was obviously hard to spot.

Park it outside Ken Livingstone's house blocking his driveway. Have a mate remove all wheels, engine and spot weld the axle stands on. Then pack your bags and enjoy your holiday happy with the thought you have caused maximum inconvenience to this charming gentleman.

Another thing I do (parked off road off course!) - is remove the tax disc - Makes it very noticeable to the boys in blue if found out and about on the road

there are loads of ways that you can stop your impreza from starting;
removing/swaping efi fuse, there are a few others as well (can let you know if you want),
remove small black wire with black connecter from rear for starter,
remove/loosen crank or cam sensor,
disconnect blue 4 pin connector from ignition switch,
disconnect ignition coils (older cars remove plug leads),
disconnect injector leads cyl 2 and 4 are easy to get to,
disconnect air flow meter, or throttle position sensor,
most engine sensors will stop the car from running, some of the above will require engine codes to be cleared some dealers will do this for free. i have removed the fuse a few times myself and this is very simple to do.
the other thing to do is to get something like a bairer dead lock fitted it locks the car in reverse and is very difficult to get around and gives a good insurance discount £250
or an autowatch anti high jack alarm even with the keys they will only get 90seconds down the road before the car comes slowly to a hault with an alarm going and lights flashing unless they press a hidden button, you can even get it wired into the drivers door so if they drag you out at the traffic lights they will only get 90 sec away again which is far enough away from you but not too far that you would loose your car! £200 both very good systems.
i work for a subaru in the midlands we could fit these usually at 1 days notice let me know if you are interested.
