Clifford proximity sensor...going off due to rain.

Clifford 300 with proximity sensor fitted and when it rains it beeps like mad. This is a right pain in the *** because i am jumping out of bed at night thinking someone is at the car.
Can this be ajusted in anyway to stop this happening.

Which prox sensor is on there? The dual zone omnisensor or the dual shock sensor?
Either way, I believe they are adjustable with the master remote control. Instructions are in the manual, IIRC.

dave,
you can override the sensor completely - see page 13
of manual. remotely lock vehicle, then press 'lock' and 'headlight' together.
you can adjust the sensitivity also. if your car is a scoob - my sensor if situated below and between the handbrake and cup holder. remove two screws (hidden by litte plastic covers), pull off plastic trim to reveal sensor (has a red LED on it, which flashes when it sense's something), find the potentiometer with its tiny screw slot and adjust...... - not sure which way to turn it though!!! - experiment

Get this problem as well sometimes in very heavy rain and in fact when I had some snow on the car last week it seemed to get into a bit of a feedback loop and proximity warned every few seconds continuously until I switched of the warning zone as described above.
To get the instructions for adjusting sensitivity you will have to download the USA version of the manual which goes into a little more detail than the UK version :-)(For the 600 anyway)
Not sure about getting your screw driver out to do this, might be easier to use the master remote instead.
Positioning of the sensor could be important as if you need to turn the sensitivity up a long way to get the desired effect then it may be more prone to false alarms etc.
Be interested to here from an expert on this if there is anything that can be done to reduce or stop it happening. Not a nice experience to be woken up in this way :-)

Thanks for replys lads.
Will have a go at the sensor ajuster thingy.
Have tried to do this from the remote when it's raining and it does not work, maybe it needs time to ajust and because it's raining it is stopping this happening.
Have turned it off,via remote when not raining(when going to bed) and have not been woken up yet,(don't really know wether it rained in the night).
Will have to sort something out because if it's on and it rains i end up turning the alarm off, which is stupid i know but it's a pain for me nevermind the neighbours.
Thanks again,
Dave.
