battery / alarm??
#1
Hi all
Ive got a my00 turbo, I want to reset the ECU, the dealer told me to disconnet the battery for half an hour then re connect.
I didnt ask him if this would set my alarm off (standard subaru cat 1) and I dont have the overide code to re-set it if it goes wrong.
will it be ok???
thanks

The ECU can be reset without having to disconnect the battery, by connecting the 2 connectors under the dash, there are some threads about it on here somewhere.
RE the alarm it should remember its last status when you reconnect the battery, and shouldn't need teh code to be entered.
