Question

Anyone know much about how the intellistart option is wired in, i had this installed by a clifford dealer and no problems, but a couple of months ago i had the coil packs replced, and the garage doing the work noticed that a wire from the alarm was attached to one of the coil packs.

He took this off and wired it to a permanent 12v feed, since then the intellistart has not worked. I spoke to a the clifford dealer who said that the wire has to go back to a positive on one of the coil packs, i have done this but it still doesnt work

Any ideas anyone ???

Pretty sure it goes to the negative side of the coil - see the intellistart PDF manual I sent you. It uses it to check the RPM.

I think the wire your on about is the black/grey if so this has to go to the wire on the coil pack which pulses with the engine running!
Cheers Doc.
