I have a MY97 with the standard imobiliser and a Sigma Thatcham cat 1 alarm. If I fit a turbo timer, will it overide the imobiliser until it switches of at the end of the cool down period?

Also, will the car alarm set as normal, if so won't the current sensing trigger the alarm at the end of the 30 second settling period?

That's interesting, so how come operating a door switch, like the drivers one sets off the alarm or just turning on the cabin light does? I know the ultrasonics aren't set that sensitive to catch the switch/hand movement.

OK thanks for that. (I am sure turning the light on by hand would cause it to go off, will have to try it later).

My understanding is that if you fit a turbo timer it will void the Thatcham approval of your alarm!
