Hi guys

I've recently purchased my first Scooby. Has a Sigma alarm fitted and I just added a Tracker for insurance purposes.

The problem I have is the guy I purchased the car from doesn't have the 4 digit PIN number for the alarm and knowing my luck if i don't sort it now I'll get caught out!!

How can I discover the number or get it reset?

John

Talking

Take the car to a main dealer, they have the contact number and required detials to enable a reset, but they need special equipment to do it

I have a 3 yr old standard fit Cat 1 Sigma on mine - should I know a PIN too? There is no sign of one!

The pin number is used when youve lost your remotes. You can punch in the numbers on the pad to turn off the alarm,so you could say its important.

You will also need the PIN number if your key fob won't activate/deactivate the alarm.

I've had to use it 3 times already (18 months), the dealer says it's something to do with parking near certain types of high powered transmitters?

Any Sigma dealer can reset it in less than 30 seconds..........I know I had it done to mine after the Scooby dealer f*cked it up at a serice!

The Sigma dealer can ring Sigma tech support for the right buttons to press.

In car electrics in St.Albans did mine! Cost me £5!

Hi
No need to take your car back to the dealer, the Sigma PIN number can be reset using a special sequence of events and code, email me if you want the details.

Cheers

Question

Is the standard MY99 security unit a sigma one ? Dont think my pin is right (but then again could be my fingers on the keypad).

I may be in touch for the pin reset sequence if it is....
