My Scorpion alarm (not 2 years old) keeps loosing synchronisation with the (tested and working) remotes, but the problem is intermittent, and sometimes they cannot be resynchronised. Apart from that the system works normally, but you have to put in codes by LED flashes to disarm the car. Does this sound like the ECU is faulty and what is the price of another? An alarm installer thought it would be the ECU and thought it was not worth checking all the connections, and wondered if it had failed because it was installed on the passenger side firewall under the intercooler and had got wet too much as evidenced by the rusted brackets on it. Scorpion won't divulge price information to a customer and I want to make sure the price I am quoted is reasonable. Also it looks to me like you don't have to get new remotes or any other parts as the old remotes should be able to be reprogrammed as per the fitting instructions to the new ECU if you have the User PIN code.
