Just got in tonight to find that my car/alarm is emitting a continous beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep and wouldn't stop until I disconnected the battery - and continues to beep if I reconnect it. Admittedly I haven't used the car for a few days so could this be a flat battery - the alarm is a cobra. One other thing worth mentioning is that currently I have no dash kit at all after a botched attempt at fitting white dials, so could this be causing a problem?

if an early cobra fitted you will need to switch the siren off with the override key and back on to reset the sirennormaly happens if the battery is removed or very flat

I tried the overide key but with no effect - I am guessing the battery as the central locking doesn't work either (using the key as the fob doesn't appear to work).

So, in the space of 5 days I've gone from a perfectly functioning scoob to one with no dash, a flat battery and an alarm that appears to be not working :-(
