Sigma Cat1 - Auto door locking
#4
Possibly the keypad has been installed somewhere else under the dash or bonnet. If it is not in the glove compartment then it must have been fitted after Dealer delivery.
The keypad is quite small about the size of a packet of Swan Vesta matches but thicker. It is a touch pad rather than a push button job if you follow.
Does the alarm and central locking work off one keyfob? or what does it have?
As far as I can make out only the M30 is Cat 1 approved, so it must be that one, see here http://www.bkcar-security.co.uk/alarms.htm# This page has a picture of the keypad, are you totally sure it is not at right hand corner of glovebox (at entrance not inside)looks like this
It is possible to disarm the ultrasonics on mine but I dont have the manual with me just now. It is something to do with pressing the fob with the ignition on, then locking the car within 30 seconds.

I was also wondering about having auto lock set on MY99 and just checked the manual which said:-
To engage safety-lock turn on the vehicle ignition, give the remote key button a quick press, type 4 on the keypad and immediately turn off the ignition. Safety-lock will now function.
Also to Exclude ultrasonic protection on arming the system for one time.
To do this, turn on the vehicle ignition, give the remote key button a quick press, or type 2 on the keypad and immediately turn off the ignition. Vacate the vehicle closing all doors, boot and bonnet. Now arm the system in the normal way.
The system will acknowledge arming by 8 flashes of the vehicle hazard warning lights, instead of the normal 4. The doors will lock as normal. Ultrasonic protection will be restored next time you arm the system in the normal way.
The manual is pretty cool showing all the stuff you can do like Enable Super-Lock if you are really super paranoid!!

Dealer didn't have a clue what alarm it was, but managed to get hold of the people who fitted it.
Apparently it's not one that they normally fir to imprezas and not CAT at all , but can be programmed with the extras (auto-Lock etc..)
Just need to find someone who has a plug in programmer for a sigma

MY98 Cat 1 Sigma Alarm.
What's the simplest way of getting this done, Maybe i will need an extra module or something. or a standalone system?
Also wouldn't mind a shock and full closure, allthough i think I'm gonna need a new alarm
Cheers
