Just to say a HUGE public thanks for Alan's assistance this afternoon to diagnose my dodgy idle problems.
After seeing his car, I realise why he coughed and spluttered when I nievley asked "so, have you done any mods to your car"
His car is awesome, although I might not have agreed to the co-pilot job if he'd told me the car was on Avon rubber beforehand
It's great to see there are still real enthusiasts who are happy to give up their free time to help out a fellow Scooby owner.
Cheers again Alan,
Stefan
P.S. no offence John, but I know how much you like being called Guru

Well, the trouble is the cars been fine even after re-fitting my original O2 sensor.
Suppose we'd need to get some readings to have seen exactly what was causing it.
Still think it's the O2 sensor though.

Yes I did. Here is a cut and paste job. You car was reaching mid 16s on the log once you got some heat into it, and seems fine on the boost front. Alan's brain has been recalibrated to high G I think If you ran it higher it would overshoot in cold weather.
PPP boost map target is 15.7 PSI up to 4600 RPM, 14.3 up to 5600, 13.2 up to 6000, 12.3 up to 6400, 10.9 above 6400. Std AE801 is 13.7 up to 5400, 12.8 up to 5800, 11.9 up to 6200, 9.8 over 6200.
Downpipe will give you more of a peak boost. 1.2mm restrictor is standard for MY99/00 PPP. My boost gauge underreads by 1 PSI compared with the MAP sensor and a calibrated boost gauge.

Oi, ********, you know me better than to say that.
If I can help somebody out, i will, cause you never know, they may be able to return the favour, eh Doug?
Not out in the rain eh? summat about pot kettle black here somewhere?????
Have now sorted my seat of the pants calibration since the other night and seems to be holding fine now
Big head? oh well....if that's what you really think, then u don't know me.
Only trying to help, cause when I was at those stages I would have appreciated any advice to save the grief and expense of the mistakes i made
