Good bet is to park at Ocean Terminal at bottom of leith as it is free parking. Then just get a bus into town from there

I park the scooby at Ingliston Park and Ride by the airport. £1 each way on the bus.

i think sarturday after 1pm all the parking bays are free though so get there early if you do want a space. website is something like edinburgh.gov.uk/parking

Reckon the parking outside John Lewis (Leith Walk, just down from Prince's Street) or off Lothian Road (on the second left as you go up the hill, coming from Prince's street) are the most central.

BTW, you can get a bus (occasionally) from Dalmahoy straight into Edinbuegh centre.

There's another park'n'ride as you head into Edinburgh from Dalmahoy on the A71. Just before the bypass, near HW university, called Hermiston on the following map.

Park and Rides map

It's normally £1 each way with buses every 10-15mins.

I wouldn't bother trying to drive and park in the centre during the next few weeks.

This gets my vote. Driving in and out of Edinbugh is a nightmare at times never mind trying to park.

Parking is free in the city centre on Sundays, but it's an absolute 'mare with all the shoppers and will just be as bad when the sales start after Xmas.

It's 10mins from Dalmahoy to Ingilston Park & Ride. For someone who drives through the city every day my vote would be to use the bus.
