Default Anyone got a custom exhaust?

I saw that second hand Prodrive/H&S's on Ebay are going for £100-125 plus postage...

With that in mind, anyone tried getting a custom one made locally as an alternative?

Anyone with experience of these places?

RMS Stainless in Prestwick

C+C Custom Stainless in Hillington

Motorsport World in Strathaven

Any other suggestions?

Elite Custom in Ayr

Only looking for a decent bassy rumble, don't want to lose one of our kids up there!

All the best.

I've called a couple of them already and was quite impressed with the price.

RMS reckoned about £145 inc VAT and fitting, Motorsport World reckoned nearer to £190 inc VAT and fitting.

That was for a straightforward stainless steel backbox, lifetime warranty, with whatever tail pipe I wanted - probably go for something looking like the prodrive or h&s standard oval.

Nothing massive, just burbly and not insanely loud is the idea - with scope to replace some of the rest when cash permits!

Had an exhaust made at RMS Prestwick, not the fastest, had to wait for two weeks to get the exhaust made (almost unique pipe tho.)
They fitted it well and was very heavy duty (was told I could have jacked the car up on the exhaust if required!!!).
While I was waiting they did a warranty job on an exhaust fitter to a Bentley, it had been on for 17 years and the fault was on the cars hanger not the exhaust and they still fixed it free for the customer.
Also fitting an equal length manifold on an Esprit V8 at the time looked and sounded fantastic.
IMHO good but a little busy so I had a fair wait but still OK.

Is it really worth it when you can get the likes of the Revolution (Cat back) system for £285? With proven quality and performance

Had a few friends get them made up from C&C. I'd go there without a doubt if I needed one made up.

So what are the dis/advantages of getting a custom exhaust.

I'm disappointed with the revolution one. It is poorly made and i miss the noise the Ninja made.

So i'm in the market for a new cat-back setup. 3"
