today on the A80 at muirhead (North bound) there is a Maroon coloured high top van parked on the Grass on the central reservation. Two nice gentlemen (Members of the Constabulary) are in the back pointing a Laser down the road.
This same van was Also at Moodiesburn House Southbound on Tuesday. (third time in as many weeks) Watch yourselves at the Traffic lights at these two places (Speed limit goes from Nat down to 30).

thanks for the warning, but have you noticed how no-one seems to slow down much once they enter the 30 stretch !! me thinks the cops must have a field day .

Don't know if it has been there the whole time, but I got an e-mail yesterday from the abd ( www.abd.org.uk) to say it is back.

 

I was lucky, I noticed a small yellow sign on the edge of the A80, the first time the van was there. It was about 40cm/30cm and said "speed camera". I only saw it as I came round the Stepps roundabout in the "filter" lane from the M80. It was located just off the roundabout. All the trafic in the outside lane was travelling at 50 in the 30 limit at Muirhead. IMHO the 30 limit at Muirhead is to long. Especially when the police are trapping cars beyond the lights just before the limit changes to a 50. I dont see a road saftey issue beyond the lights.

 

Been up and down there the last few days and haven't noticed it back, I agree about the legnth of the 30 at Muirhead, after the lights its completely pointless
