As with anything people have had good experiences and bad.
I personally bought my Scoob at Fraser Andersons (who??) but after some serious failings in aftersales service went to Nobles, where I found the aftersales to be first class. I have also had dealings with the Sales side and found them to be up front and honest IMHO.

Saying that, I now drive an Evo!!

Hi campers - I'm thinking of gettting a test drive in the new WRX (despite it's "face only a mother could love" looks). I'm in Edinburgh - AF Noble seem to be the only dealer around - are they any good?
Any other good dealers around?
Thanks.

Agree with John, John and Willie. Top service throughout from Noble's. Malcolm's the easiest to talk to in Sales; Graham can be a bit dry but is OK and a straight talker.

Angela in sales is lovely.

Just don't try and get your clutch replaced under warranty if you start suffering from the dreaded judder

Ended up getting all my servicing done at S&S in Ayr. John is a top bloke, no bull and willing to fix things that should be fixed ...

It might be a 120 mile round trip, but its worth it to see that little bit of extra care and attention (shock horror, they even use seat covers and don't leave great greasy handprints on the glove box )

Andrew.

Although you can't knock the service on the sales side at Nobles, you can knock the deals they'll give you.

The price they'll give you on a trade-in can be bettered, that's why I went to Town and County in Perth despite the fact I live in Edinburgh. I think it may be because they are the only dealer in the Edinburgh area that they feel they can offer lower deals and still get a sale.

I get my car serviced there however. Ricky Abbot at T&C is your man. But then a car dealer is a car dealer - they're not there to give you a good deal, just make themselves a nice big profit.

As with the rest I take my toy to S&S as well.
I ain't been mucked around too much, although my heatshield experience has been a nightmare. They did try their best to weld it on before they ahd to replace them all.

Note : Does anyone know of a good paint shop in the Ayr/Ayrshire area, my bumper, ahem!!, has a wee scrape on it and will probably need respraying.

That wall just jumped up out of nowhere !!!!

I bought my 97 Catalunya from Nobles last year. The whole sales team are very helpful, Angela in particular. I have continued to use them for servicing even tho' I live in the far West of Stirlingshire.

I intend to continue to use them for service & would definately buy from them again in the future.

If you are serious about buying a MY01 then think about importing from Holland or Belgium. I did that last year and got my brand new MY00 for under £15K. Drop me an E Mail and I will help you further if you are interested.

My Cat is doing fine thanks. She is still pretty standard except, I have fitted MY00 16" gold wheels and the body side protector strips. Yours is looking pretty cool in the piccie & the higher rear spoiler certainly suits her - is that an STi5? Have you joined the ranks of Wax Wizard or what did you use to get the paintwork finish?

I haven't been to any meets or do's as yet, maybe sometime.
