with a difference....
along with the usual 1/4 mile thrash & oval antics, Streetfighters are running a bike drag racing competition.
They are bringing their own timing equipment, which means there will be a proper starting grid, with staged area & 'christmas tree' style start lights. They will be measuring reaction times off the line,1/8th time & speed and 1/4 mile time & speed.
This is gonna make for closer racing & more exciting starts, as well as being able to see all your times & speeds etc. on your results print outs.
Entry is £6 per person & £15 for unlimited runs down the 1/4 mile & shots on the oval circuit, fun starts from 10am.
If you would like to meet up with us lot for a cruise down there, meeting places as follows

Edinburgh-Forth Road Bridge Services @ 9.30am
Perth-McDonalds,Dunkeld Rd @10 am
Dundee-Riverside Snack Bar,Riverside Drive @10.30 am

Chris, you need to get a job on the beach. I was like you missing everything, I've now transferred to Grangemouth and my petrol bill has quadrupled!!! Not to mention the extra-cold Belhaven Best.....mmmmmmmm

I'll be at the MacD's, FRB at 09:30

...John

Would have been good to try a run with good timing gear.
Are they going to upgrade the normal stuff?
Must try to get up for the next thrash.

Willie Robertson who runs the crail events is looking into replacing the timing gear they use, and getting a proper drag set-up with all the bits for measuring speeds/reaction times etc.

We've been bending his ear on Crailthrashers about the current set-up....must have worked

Sorry guys I cant make it on Sunday this time - Just as well I would not want to put EvoJKP through all that pain and pressure just in case my Scooby beat him off the starting line (again)- hehehe.

All the best guys have fun, oh and Dave keep that car of yours in one piece so I can get a passenger ride on the oval with you next time.

We can't go, Karen has put her foot down. So while you guys enjoy yourselves I will be looking round some garden centres.

See you at the next meet.
