The wife and I were in Ayr yesterday, on the way to visit S&S.
The traffice cops were bloody well EVERYWHERE.
I was completely within the speed limit at all times within 30 miles of Ayr, just to be certain.
I counted at least six cars in the Ayr area.
Andrew.

I don't know if JohnS is planning to hold his annual jaunt down here this year but either way another meeting would be good. Cheers.

The idea was to start from Dumfries and head over more towards the Galloway hills, staying off the A75 as much as possible(Too much plod!!)and heading from New Galloway to Newton Stewart via the Queensway (A particularly demanding and scenic route and almost certainly plod free?). The return to Dumfries could be along the coast road. The area right now is pretty empty of Sunday drivers due to the foot and mouth epidemic.
The police presence on the roads in Dumfries and Galloway is very limited right now, so even Ayrshire drivers could be involved.
A Sunday in May prehaps, or early June?

Early June would suit me, cause the insurance man is takin his time in supplyin a new car.
Scoobysnax555 is that you i was chasin up Glasgow street at 90mph. Then you over took me comin thro garach loanin back into the town.
I had the mica black sport special big gold wheels scoobysport system. I see there is another sport special goin about the town.
My one is gone to the scrap heap in the sky, well DA`s. Was tryin to buy it back cause it had a lot of cash spent on it.
Beware of the FEDS
On saturday they had a car sitting on the collin by pass and they were stoppin every one comein into the town by the vw garage.
They were handing out producers and checkin cars.

I thought Glasgow street was a dual carriage way.
Anyways Raymond, I haven`t seen your car or dougies motor for ages, it was over a year since I left the site. I was goin about with ainsley doin my paper work, you did that redeployment course as well, are you still there.

No I'm not the Bloke who traded the Terzo for a P1 - wish I was!!
Niten's his name, I've been in it and I want one!
My car is a green turbo with a 555 plate and I certainly didn't pass you on the Glasgow road at 90 - I never speed in town you know!
Anyway regarding the day in Galloway, I've got interest from Niten and Brian (Blue Turbo)and hopefully Raymond when he reads this. Any more for early June??

I'd be up for this too
June would be best for me,on a Sunday that Crail's not on.
I am organising a run on the 27th May starting from Kinross.I will post up details after Max Crail cos I'm up to my eyes organising a meet for that just now.
Will keep you's posted

Which Sundays in June are free from Crail events (and any others) and i'll organise the Galloway meeting for one of them - Looks like we're starting to get a bit of interest!
Anyone else like to suggest an appropriate Sunday?

Checked the Crail & Knockhill diaries.
There is nothing happening on the 10th or the 24th.Either dates suit me.
Let me know what date you decide on & I'll advertise it on my Crailthrashers group.

Sunday the 10th of June sounds good to me.
If there's enough interest, I'll organise a Southwest of Scotland tour on that day, starting and ending in Dumfries - maybe we can get interest from some of the Scooby owners in Cumbria to come up and join the lads.
JohnS has just emailed me some dates of other things going on, mostly near Aberdeen.
The 10th avoids all his dates too, so it's looking good if we get some interest!!

June 10th is fine for me.
I'll post it up on my crailthrashers group nearer the time. This should attract a few nice motors for the scooby boys to play with.
A word of warning don't post any route details here or anywhere else, rumour has it the police are watching groups and bulletin boards for meets. Makes life easy picking for them if they know where you're going & at what time.
