OK, a bit later than this morning, but better late than never.
Assemble at the Shepherds Rest pub {next to the Premier Lodge Hotel} just outside Westhill on the A944 aprox 7 miles from Aberdeen.N.B. Do not go into Westhill stay on A944.
Get there for about 11:30 am, as the cars will be departing about 12.
It is being run by another car club (all invited, so should be lots of cars there of all types), and they are asking for £1 per person taking part. I think the money is going towards the pool table If you aren't wearing a silly hat (it is Mad March remember ), then you will be charged a £1 levy!
The cars will depart about 12 towards the Lecht, but I'm not sure if they are splitting into smaller groups, or forming one large convoy. I would suggest the Imprezas either go first or last.
I'm not sure how many of us are going (with it being Mothers Day), but I won't be able to go for the run, but should make it out to the starting point.
The roads are apparently clear, and good fun at the moment. It will be cold up at the top of the mountains, so take some warm clothes with you.
The return journey will be via Ballater (again a great driving road), where the group will again stop for coffee/ice-cream etc, before heading back to Aberdeen on the South Deeside Road (straight over the bridge on the way out of Ballater, instead of turning left).
I've told the organisers to expect a few of us
