Cool

With the up and coming trackdays ahead and a few of the Scottish members modifying their cars, now would be an ideal time to see what gains have been achieved.

Same as usual I need at least 8 to 10 provisional verbal bookings.

Same venue as the last time at Star Performance in Glenrothes.

This is open to anyone, who has a car to run. If anyone has contacts with the Elise club could they pass this offer on to them.

Reply to me at evojkp@btinternet.com

We are looking at £30 for two power runs. This is the price that we have paid the last twice we have been there.

I think, although do not quote me, the £75 is for more than just power runs??

I have a healthy list for this now. Although there is not a max amount, let me know soon if you intend to come along, if you have not already done so.

Thanks...John

John,

I'll be there, but will probably bring an EVO6 to see what it does.

I've confirmed the booking with Jim at Star Performance. He will open up around 10am.

So far we have the following if all turn up

5 UK turbo's
6 Imports
2 Evo 6's

For anyone travelling from the south we can meet at the MacDonalds at around 09:15 to 09:30 so that we can get some breakfast or a coffee before heading up.

If anyone has any further queries, just drop me a line.

hoping to make it to the day too.

T-uk,
yep MY00, ran it at Star performance near the end of last year, and only produced 204.5 bhp and 209 torque, both well up the rev range compared to book figures. Have given the power graph to a dealer who is supposd to be speaking with Subaru about what to do (the worst thing is it appears if anything to be getting slower ). Will give them until the start of next week, then phone up and check.
I have been told of a few other people who appear to be having similar lack of power with their MY00s.
Will let you know if anything happens.

robertio,
think you should go to the r/r day so
we can see what these my00 are putting out, don't usually go by r/r figures, but with
same road, day and operator it gives a comparison between cars.is your car modified and do you know the figures of any my98/99
cars on stars r/r?
just out of interest what's your clutch like?

John, sorry for sort of hi-jacking your thread on this , everyone else: just keep on posting on the original topic; but in answer to the questions:

Taz - The dealer is S&S in Ayr.

T-uk - Engine is standard (run on SUL (except for £10 I had to put in last month, but kept below 3000rpm until it got some SUL), the car is now on 17" which will make a difference, I suppose I could always dig out the 16" and put them on for the run. In order to go up I have to get the day, or half of the day off of work, so I don't really want to do it if all I am going to get is bad news Don't know anyone who has run a std MY98/99 at Star, so if anyone has let us know what figures you got. The clutch has always made 1st gear a bit of a chore, until the car has warmed up, was very bad and juddering back in December, it went in for its 7,500 service, and was back to normal when I got it back. So am waiting to see what happens this time as the miles creep up.

No problems. Either meet at MacD's at about 09:15 or at Star from 10:00 onwards.

The last count showed 16 cars attending.
Hopefully all going well there should be a racing Land Rover attending, which has produced some figures the MY00's should look out for.

I would love to come but being a muppet I don't know where Glenrothes is. Is there still places? I don't mind if it's fully booked but can you let me know either way? Contact me through my e-mail address please. Either that I can follow someone up, I'm from Costa Del Ayr BTW.

Gordon, there are places left so come along.

If you are unsure I could meet you at the BP petrol station at Livingston around 09:00. The one just off the M8 (Deer park services)

I feel bad about my comments on the MY00's with Land Rovers...I better not mention the montego

I think I'm going up with Dougie. Can you reserve me a place. This will be the first Rolling Road that I've ever been on so don't expect huge BHPs. Anyway, I don't think anyone has ever seen me before so I think it's time to show face and reveal myself. You'll know it's me once you see the car. Trust me.

Just to say, I will definately not be going, got a phone call from S&S, they have lost my powerchart, so will have to fax through another copy tomorrow am. Another one of his customers is getting their car rolling roaded during the next couple of weeks, MY00 I think, someone on here I assume? And as I understand it nothing is being done until after then . So all enjoy your day, esp. with the Landrover
