Just a short reminder of the track activities organised for Knockhill this weekend.

The track has been booked for a track event from 3:30pm to 8pm on Saturday, and is fully booked for participants. There is no entry fee to the track for anyone wishing to come along and watch, or get passenger laps (bring your own helmet if possible). Most participants will be more than happy to offer a few passenger laps (front seat only) if you ask them nicely.

As well as the usual mix of Imprezas (including 4 22Bs and 3 P1s !!), we have a few other very interesting cars taking part.

After the event finishes, we shall be heading off into Edinburgh for a curry and a few beers (or soft drinks if you are driving home). Everyone is welcome to join us for the meal and drinks, but we would appreciate it if you could let us know in advance, as the chosen restaurant is quite small, and we will need to pre-book.

On Sunday morning, we shall be heading back to Knockhill for the 2nd of their "Hot Marques" events. The track will be open exclusively for cars worth more than £10,000 and which appear in the sports section of the Top Marques magazine. At the first event, this consisted of TVRs, Porsches, BMWs, Ferraris, Lotus', and Imprezas, along with a few other high performance cars. The circuit is open from 9am.

SIDC members will get free entry to the circuit for this event (usually £5), and £5 off the price of track participation (reduced to £30). This fee entitles you to as many 10 minute sessions during the day as you and your car can handle. Please note that Knockhill will charge a £1 fee for renting a helmet for each session if you don't have your own!

SIDC members will also have a dedicated parking/display area opposite the pit lane entrance, and Radio Forth will be there providing music, entertainment, commentary and performing interviews with owners etc.

A large crowd of paying spectators is expected at this event, so hopefully we can put on a good show for them

Hope to see you all there on Saturday and Sunday.
