Default WANTED - MOUNTAIN BIKE

As title says, anything considered, must be around 18" frame and local. Nothing too fancy or expensive as only used for recreational purposes.
Any help appreciated,
Cheers,
Alan.

Hi

What's "local"? Can't see it on your profile. I've got a custom built bike and I haven't even used it. Been sitting around for 6 months and I can assure you, it's still as new! I think it's around 18" frame (alu), front suspension and hard tail. V brakes and I think that's about it. Alu in colour with black forks. Looking for £200. Costed me £450.

Let me know.

Cheers

Gordon Shek

Thanks for the replies guys.
Dougster, looking to spend around £100, so yours will probably be too expensive for my girlfriend!!, but if anyone else has one at around this price local to Fife/Edinburgh, then drop details on here.
Cheers,
Al

PS Dougster, intrigued with the higher end ones for myself, any chance of some details pics??? (He says saving for his next motor!!)

Managed to get hold of a Proflex 756 a couple of weeks ago in near perfect nick. Used to race MTB's years ago and couldn't help buying as I raced a 953 when they first came out and loved it.
What ever happened to all the quality bikes of yesteryear??
ie Raleigh Dynatechs, Kliens, GT Zaskars etc etc......looked for a second hand one and they are all relatively new. People must want to keep a hold of them?

Don't see any point in swapping my GT Karakoram for any other hard tail. Does more than a good job for me. The frame is still superb and all the bolt-on components can be changed if required.

Don't see any point in spending **** loads of £££'s on a bike unless you do it competively or do it so often it needs to be buillit proof.

I'm sure the country is littered with many a £1000 MB that only sees the light of day every 6 months on nothing more than a forest trail with the kids

I've got two sitting in my garage - both fitted with kiddy seats!

Kona AA and a Specialised FSR Comp

Neither for sale though!
