Yesterday around 1-2pm.
Looked like an RB5 with a pink grill badge. I thought it was Talizman, but I'm sure he doesn't have the pink badge.
Both had our arms out the window waving at each other, so I'm sure you'd remember if it was you. Sounds like it wasn't.

poor show m8. if i were you i'd be gettin rid of the gem's just like i feel about me car. alan came up near the end of the day to have a gander and let me know what he thought about the car, but even he thought i would have got more! ok, it was a warm day and i still have the top mount, but there's no excuse for these figures. i've asked bob for his opinions on what to do next. i don't want to have to go for fmic and injectors, as that was never my plan, so i'm swithering whether or not, making my top mount into a front mount is a worthwhile/possible task. and whether or not i would need a remap for that, if it was possible. failing that, i don't know. rip the parts of and sell it? i don't know. i've got a damn fine engine now, but do i want to spend any more money on it, to get to a figure i should have already? no! everyone say's, it's not the figure.....in this case, i think it is. what's the point in aiming for a figure and you can't even prove you have it???! there is none. god, i ain't got a scooby!!!!!!

MY04 WRX. Full magnex decat.
257 Bhp
237 lbs/ft torque.
well happy with this, but a bit of a downer was put on the celebrations, as my car is running to lean. been paranoid about it since i got the decat, as i was sure i was hearing a pinking noise, which was confirmed today.
so its back to the drawing board. looking for as cheap a fix as poss, remap may be out the price range, but jim had stated an uprated fuel pump and regulater may do the trick. we will see. anyway good to meet the guys.

I know exactly how you feel mate! That was one of the reasons I was going to sell the car. I felt I spent a fair amount on the car, and it didn't produce anywhere near what I thought it would produce! In fact the torque was less than standard!
But I was assured that the rolling road is just a guide, and it's not the same as if you were on a road, but that didn't make me feel better.
I don't want to cut up my P1 front bumper either just to fit a front mount in so I'm in the same boat as you. Also, once the front mount does go in, the engine bay just looks as if you've stole a couple of scaffolding poles and planted them in!!!!!! It looks more like a plumbers yard than an engine bay!!!!!
Have you ever thought of placing a STI7/8 top mount in? They are bigger than the ones in the classic so therefore it has a bigger core, etc ,etc, etc. Not much modification required.
Hope this helps and I'm sure if you contacted AlanG and/or AndyF, they'll be able to point you in the right direction without burning a hole in your pocket or melting your credit cards!
Cheers

Thanks to John for gettin this organised as fast, good stuff matey
As for results remember it was bloody hot today so happy with mine, torque is doon a bit but cest la vie
Power 252.5bhp
Torque 220lb-ft
All on a bugeye with full decat and STi Panel filter. Mind oot their wrappers these are lower BHP than the new blobeye so was pleased to be as close to Keevsters figures as I was.
Need to get a STi intercooler to help with the charge temps, uprated fuel pump and then get it mapped for fuel ( ensure its not lean )
And Steve .....yes I know .......... tyres
Laters
Spooks

Good to meet some new and old faces today, although among them were a few long ones The temp in the unit was definetly decieving and as Jim predicted the mod'd cars suffered, where the std ones were neither up nor doon.
BTW WTF was the FRB like on the way back, although myself, paul and Stevie managed to cruise to the front, much to the annoyance off others and get across it in just over 20mins, where the boards stated 40min wait.....if you stayed on the inside lane
But if you thought that was bad, ended up down the clyde valley hunting for garden furniture Sunday drivers, learner drivers you name it....what a bomb scare!!

thanks gordon. trust me, i've thought about the sti top mount, but considering how much they are, IMHO you'd be as well just getting an fmic. not to fussed about the cutting of the bumper, as long as in the end, i can see what the engine is producing. pmsl the scaffolding poles at the end of the day, the sti top mount still won't give the figures as it's still a top mount and the fan's of the rr give air to fmic's better. currently looking at prices although i just can't see me doing at the remap is for me the killer. fair enough i could call on sam, if he would do it, but that's more money shelled out for what? am i gonna see a figure that reflect's what power the car put's out on the road? i doubt it! viscious circle, so it is. dunno know why i bothered putting the good gear in the internals of the engine now. look at it this way, td05/06, headers, fmis and injectors will give me a power hike of about 120 brake and 80-100 torque??!? i doubt it very much! although i didn't expect what i got today!lol

I think the quick fix would be to refit your downpipe/cat until you manage a remap.
