Servicing in Glasgow: S&S or Greer Sport?
60,000 mile service now overdue!
Where's best in Glasgow area? Usually take it in to S&S, but at the prices they charge I was looking for somewhere a bit more reasonable.
Greers asked if I could leave the car overnight an pick up the following night.
Is this advisable, can they be trusted?
When it comes to the scoob, I don't trust just anybody, so I want to know what you guys think.
Cheers, norry.

Judge, we're all guilty of forgetting things from time to time. I spoke to Bill Greer about your over the top comments. All he's guilty of, is forgetting it was a bank holiday. If you'd given him the chance he'd have picked your car up the next day, done the job, and delivered it back to you. The phrase "spat the dummy" springs to mind.
Norry, how about this for customer service from Greersport. Back in January, my fuel pump went kaput up a country road, in the middle of nowhere while on my way home from work. I phoned Bill, only to be told his trailer has faulty lights, but if the RAC can pick up the car, he'll stay open late to fit a new fuel pump. It took nearly 6 hours to get my car to him. Bill had stayed there till nearly midnight for me.
Norry, by all means do a search on Greersport, you'll find Judges negative post but mostly positive ones.
I'll highly recommend Greersport, I've never used Kenny Brown but I've mostly heard good reports. Whichever one you choose, I'm sure you won't be dissapointed.

OK then, do a search "scooby dealerships in ayrshire" and read my tale of woe!
My turning up and said dealership being closed would have been a god send
Have heard good things about Kenny Brown.

Thanks for the input guys. Much appreciated.
I'm heading down to Greersport on Saturday to get an idea of cost.
Suppose I'll take it from there. Haven't heard of Kenny Brown, but I think I'll have a wee look for him as well.
After Judge's recent experience, I was almost considering going to S&S again, but I don't want to be overcharged for a service that can be provided equally well, if not better, by someone else.
Thanks again norry

Bladerider, telling the exact truth without exaggeration is over the top is it? I understand that you may have had some good dealings with Greersport but I most certainly did not.
P.S We do not "all forget sometimes" especially not when it comes to work,if I forgot to turn up I would not have a job to go back too!
