Knockhill question ???
Having braved the elements yesterday for a trip up to knockhill ( how cold was it ??!! ) just to thank all who attended for making it a brief but very enjoyable morning out !!
must admitt to be slightly concerned on the short journey up from my home town in the torrential downpour ( around 08:15am ) that I would be the only car there with the event being cancelled due to the adverse weather !! but boy was I wrong !!! for the conditions great turn out eh ??!!
quick question ?? just wonder what sort off top speeds were being achieved on the main straight along side the main viewing area ??? ( level with pits / viewing barrier area ) not a good judge of speed !! but some motors certainly seemed fairly rapid along this main straight !!!
lastly !!! any ideas on when the next event off this style will take place ?? with hopefully better weather this time !!
again thanks to al who attended for allowing it to be such an enjoyable visit to his fine location.
john...
p.s wonder for those that do enjoy a bit off track driving at knockhill, if they are aware that there is a pc game out called " TOCA2 " with its very accurate replica off this very circuit, any available for only £4.99 nowadays !! an old favourite !!!

Most Imprezas were breaking 100mph at the bridge, which in the wet and looking back on it, was NUTS!!! I think that would have been the quickest. In the dry more is achievable, especially the looney tunes with modded motas.
Details of the next one is either here, or in the Trackdays thread OR on the SIDC website. Fot monthly dates for Top Marques, check Knockhill.co.uk

I started day with 95 (and used a tank of juice) and funnliy enough was managing around 95-97 mph. I then refueled with optimax and 100mph and just over was achievable I guess optimax is the way forward !!

Last summer I was changing up from 3rd (so 105mph) at the top of the hill and braking from 110, should be a lot quicker this year When John Felstead had his westie up a few years ago I seem to remember him saying he was touching 160 That car was just stupidly quick, don't think I'll ever forget seeing it going past the scoobs and evos as if they were standing still.

110+ and braking just at the bridge with ABS kicking in over running water then hard on them before getting into 3rd and off the brakes before the river at the entry at Duffus.
