A good day was had by all, despite the APPALLING weather. Lots of sideways action and a few a bit too sideways!!!
EVOJKP - 2 tanks - worth every penny though. Thanks for the laps.
DOUGSTER - Next time, food beckoned after hours of freezing!
SG72 - There is a queue for a shot in the passenger seat when you are next on the track I believe.
Start posting those pics Spooks, especially if they are sideways ones!!
Brian.

Sorry to hear about the hose Steve. Hope it is easy to sort.
No probs - we gathered it was a bit cold and wet for Rory (and us too).
See you next time - the appropriate phrase about your car probably is:
"It never rains but it pours".
Brian.

What rain!
That was fun considering I only got the hairpin right once!!
Lots of lying water didn't inspire much confidence under braking but again driving standards in appalling conditions to be admired.
Thanks to JohnS again for organising a great event and thanks to all the drivers who kept it safe but fast out there.
NSX, Ferrari, M3 all bagged but I don't fancy taking any of them on in the dry!!
Good fun was had with evojkp, who must have clocked largest number of laps today!!
The old wagon done itself proud, eh John?

An absolute blinder of a day. Weather was more for boats than cars.
Firstly got to give thanks to JohnS for a very well organised day. It's been a while since my last SIDC outing and it will not be my last this year.
Driving standards were 1st class, with a few minor hiccups, which is only to be expected. It was near on impossible to pass due to the amount of spray that was being thrown up. By the end of the session it was more like a rallycross circuit, mud, stones and rivers of water!!
I though I could have some bragging rights over last years track-king Sam in his new M3 as he got stuck in the infield at the hairpin, BUT, two laps later, yours truly lost it and followed the same route. Much to the amusement of the local crowd. I also expect to have the photo of me 'stranded' appear here at some stage
Spooks I hope the good lady has recovered. And can I have the fabric back for my seats that she ripped off in the spin
Dougie, totally enjoyed our wee scrap catching the fezza' but if you had let me past, I could have caught him a few laps earlier
Although when we did catch him, he didnae half vanish into the pits....
Don't think he fancied going toe-to-toe with us in the wet.
Also well pleased with my brake upgrades, not a bit of fade all morning and they were getting some abuse. I think one stint was in xs of 20 laps (half tank of fuel
), braking from 100mph on the hissy straight and for Duffus lap after lap, xlant feel and bite every time. Just need to see how they cope in the dry.
...John

[QUOTE=sg72]Sorted OK Bri. (Was wondering why I wasn't making up the gap on the way up
)
Mmmmm - seemed quick enough to me - Spooks thought it was a space craft that went past him.
I will settle for your car's performance with a hose off, thanks.
Brian.

Good to see the guys out with the new Imprezas
and not just parking them in the paddock. For the Scoobies that bothered to turn out it was good to watch.
Still think that there are too many kit car/ elise type cars
on the SIDC days
But I suppose if the scooby drivers ain't taking the places then the costs have to be met in any way possible.
Can't really say too much as I was parked up all day, excuse, waiting for parts and the engine to do another 1000 miles before she gets a thash.
P.s the white wagon with the gold wheels was nae too bad
Any one on here?

Sounds good to me Brian. Pain in the *** having to run in an engine. Just about to make the next jump and get the even bigger turbo from Andy F and hope to map her to around the 400hp mark. Roll on the next 1000 miles!!!

It was a superb day. Was there with my mate Col in our Black Mk3 Golf. Our first time out, loved it to bits, even if we spent a lot of time on the right hand side of the track. :-)
evojkp - best I can do, mate!

Check out the speed difference on the straight - we were flat oot! (1.5Mb AVI)

Great day and top driving all round.

Yup,another excellent day at KH despite the appaling conditions (At the end of the session there was a river running across the track before Duffus!:O
Great to see everyone again and hats of to John for running another brilliant track day.Seeing and hearing the Ferrari was worth going for on its own (Ahh one day!)
Driving from all concerned was flawless as far as I could tell with no near misses or incidents.I didn't see a single driver getting the waggy finger or any crumpled bodywork so that cant be bad (Dougsters car was a bit muddy though!
)
Good to have a few of the guys out for passenger laps too,Andy and Mark had a few laps before Andy's mum hopped in for a few laps (She waved as we went past Dougster!!
)
As for the drive home with Andy, Dougster,Grant and Norrie, the Red Arrows would have been proud of the close formation lane jumping!
Roll on the next one!

I too have to say a big thx to Dougster & EvoJKP for the passenger laps at a damp KH. Like you say John, I too can't believe how well the car was braking. On the way home I had the feeling that my brakes were not installed compared to the feeling I was getting from your car. Lets hope my e-proms arrive one day before May 29th and actually work so I can test out this daft car.
Spooks, Don't know about the most powerful bugeye, but I'm needing to get a few more ponies out of her yet.I have an SR 30 fitted just now but AndyF is doing a good price for a VF5/6 20G which, with the bigger injectors is good for the 400+bhp I'm looking for. Need to go for a better box next as it will probably expire soon. Would love a sequential but probably need to settle for a dog box, the list goes on!!!
Just out of intrest, who has the biggest bhp Bugeye around?????
HI SOOB

Car not for sale.
APs wanted.
Cheeky beggars the lot of you!
Still smiling though!!!
Only time the Ferrari got past a scoob was his bullying tactics on the M8 in Glasgow.
And John, didn't look as if you were near enough to pass!!!

Like you, still smiling and looking forwards to the next one. Oh, and not because of the KY.....
John you're getting as bad as Moses.
I suppose I could have been stronger on the brakes but discs were only fitted last night and I was still getting used to them!!<excuse no. 11(a) pragraph 3>
I also was concerned about the extra weight behind me, hence the reason for pulling away on the straights!!
Remember I done a brand new set of mintex 1144s in the dry!!
Oh how we laughed!! Don't spit now!!
