While chatting to mates last week in me garage the usual banter started ie what car can keep up with your etc etc you know the scenario.

Well the car my mate told me to watch out for is the Audi A3/A4 with the silver mirrors,what difference silver mirrors made to it i found out today.

On travelling to work early this morning i looked in me rear view mirror to find two of the shiny silver mirrors behind me,aucht its only an A3 so on i go planted to redline 2nd 3rd 4th and slotted 5th only to see this WEE CAR steam past me.

Guy gave me a wee flick of the brake lights, i flashed and accepted the thrashing.

What on earth are these things putting out cos i was no match for it.

 

Think that's the S3. The S3 are reasonably quick, what were you driving?

 

Yeah must have been the s3 which is putting out about 225 bhp. Its the same as the 225 bhp audi tt and i think the 0-60 time is about 6 secs or something

 

yeah those s3's are fast plus u can get them chipped by star , jim does mods for them

 

Mine is an my01 wagon with the only mod being firestorm system and decat.

Given your performace description it wasn't standard, if that makes you feel any better My old std MY00 was slightly quicker than a 210 S3.

Are you sure it was an A3? sounds more like an RS4 to me.

 

Defo not the RS4 it was an A3,well from the back anyway!!!cos thats all i could see.

 

Opel, worry not mate, I think I know the guy you are talking about and that S3 is not standard, far from it. The car has been extensively tuned by Star and is pushing out close to 300BHP.

A standard S3 would not touch your Turbo
