Angry Pulled over for the fuzz 2nite

minding my own business coming back from the video shop and waiting to pull out from a junction when general plod in his wee van passes, i proceed to pull out as he suddenly pulls in. this is when i think "oh here we go, only a matter of time b4 this happened". i go past him as he pulls out and i suddenly pull in, leaving him blocking traffic by the time he had faffed about trying to park again i was out the car and stood waiting for him
as it turns out he pulled me for my number plate (fair one) not as bad as some i have seen. him and his mate then decide to chat to me for 10 mins on how they love my car and how they pulled murdo mcleod for his plates and that they are waiting to get a hold of stefan klos so they can pull him too. W.T.F!!!
to top it off, as i was coming back thru town about 30mins ago to go home they tailed me, so once again i pulled over but they trundled past eyeballing me at about 5 mph and proceed to drive at about 10mph with me behind them so i start doing some counter surveillance driving on my way home and sure enough there they are but also joined by their buddies in another car.
are these idiots paid to harass innocent people going about their own business not breaking any laws. there are plenty of little tw@ts driving around this town in cars that if they got pulled would get taken off them.
i've worked f$cking hard for my car and paid good money for it.
just don't make sense

Best way to play it with plod, i find, is to adopt a seriously confrontational attitude (particularly if you're in the right, or it's something trivial like a number plate offence)

Always an easy thing to do as i simply cannot stand the low-life-scum-of-the-earth that is the traffic 'police'

Must be something in the water m8.

Coming home from work last nite on M77, here comes plod racing up the outside lane with lights flashing and sirens wailing. As every decent citizen would we allowed them to pass, only to see them cutting across the inside lane to get off at junction for Barrhead. They got to the traffic lights, put off the lights, put off the siren and stopped like everyone else. WTF! Guess who was in a hurry to get home for dinner then. Trouble is if you say anything to these ar$hole$ you're a marked man.
Never had any respect for the plod, coz they have never given me any reason to respect them.

I could go on, but you're all probably bored already.

OK, so what about the two guys in uniform in the queue opposite me in Tesco?
Who weren't nicking anyone, but were in a police vehicle.

I suppose they were just in for some jam sandwiches and truncheon meat

Subarstar

Exactly what is your point with this

OK, so what about the two guys in uniform in the queue opposite me in Tesco?
Who weren't nicking anyone, but were in a police vehicle.
Ok.. not the biggest fan of the police, but even in my job I am still allowed to go to the shops and buy something for my lunch ffs

Think people can be just a bit blinded by their dislike of the police

you are entitled to your opinion same as everyone else SiPie.

I think they are to$$ers.

If I took a company vehicle out to get my lunch I'd get sacked!

Even if you were working away from your office/factory whatever and it was your only mode of transport ?

Your boss doesn't sound the most sympathetic

How many salesmen do you see eating sandwiches in their company cars - sack them all ?

How many BT engineers do you see eating their lunch in BT vans - sack them all ?

Strange argument mate and I hope you never need the service of these
to$$ers
I've probably had as many run-in's with the traffic police as the next man but it's simply a mixed bunch... some good un's and some not so good...and that's including a completely unprovoked road-block that I wasn't exactly chuffed about !

Wouldn't be me that would want to be the first to the scene of many a road traffic accident... yuk

Hat's off to them ........... well.... some of them (the ones without the attitude )

Well said.

The police, as the government frequently tell us, "represent a broad section of society" - whether that is true or not, I don't know. But like every other profession, there are fair people, eager ones and miserable ones.

I don't mind getting dtopped by police for fair things and I am glad they stop folk like me because the chances are one day they will also stop a **** who steals mine or someone elses car.

Believe it or not guys, I don't have a problem with ALL cops.

I was never out to tell any untruths. I was simply agreeing with a fellow scoob owner and sharing my own experiences.

I thought that was the point of Scoobynet!

If I am wrong I apologise!

Not wrong at all m8.

It's just threads like this can go on and on and not really get anywhere.

If you check the Scottish section of the SIDC there is a planned meet where traffic police will be in attendance.

Never had any bad experiences with them myself, but when I've been a naughty boy I've got my just deserts. Must admit, I've had more get-out-of-jail-free cards than convictions - I'm sure Dougster will vouch for at least one lucky escape

In fact, I was busy "testing" the DeltaDash Dyno feature one evening when I got pulled with a traffic car. Blokes were brand new and were genuinely interested in what I was doing (a few 0-60 launches got their attention). In fact one was even a fellow Impreza driver

Did loads of work up at the Police College in Tulliallan and the traffic boys even took me out on the skid pan when they heard it was my Scooby parked in the car park.

Like any walk of life, you do come across the odd @rsehole or two. I'd say most are decent folk with just a few bad apples thrown in. If you've nothing to hide, then there's nothing to worry about

Just my 2p's worth.

the police arnt a community - they are doing a job.
it really pisses me off - people letting people off with things when they are doing a paid job and providing a service.

if a fellow developer wasnt doing his job right - he would somehow get pulled back into line. or be out.

i work responsibly, hitting targets.

so should the police - not naffing around playing games with people.

tarnishing all police with the same brush isnt good - and im sure some of it was tongue in cheek - but it also should be allowed to highlight the failings.

Err, not really.
If it's called pulled over for the fuzz, it's a big clue!
Err, don't really care whether you agree or not!

It may well be a "clue" but I reiterate that it does not tell you the content of the post,he may have gone on to praise the police and I would have to read the post to find out,or do you still disagree? My point is that it is very fashionable to have a go at the police but we would all be in big trouble without them.

Thank you for telling me how little you care about my opinion though.

Sorry Judge, may have been a bit harsh, but did it get your blood racing?
I'm not trying to be fashionable and I don't consider myself to be a police hater either.
Sometimes I just enjoy winding people up!

Wot ave you done to your plates m8y.
Have you changed the one on the front at all.
I quite fancy getting a square one for the front, but not sure whether it would fit or not.

waiting for my new ones to arrive from fancy plates. so still on my "illegal" ones. funny thing is that the copper who talked to me about them is working 2nite and said if he sees me then he will do me. oh well
have been assured by "a certain person" that i will not get any more hassle until they are changed.
not sure about the square fronts, dont know if they would fit the holes.

Yep, wasn't sure myself, I think the holes are too far apart for the suqare plate to fit.

The plate that's on just now is a bit cracked, so I was thinking about replacing it.
Is it just me or is the regular plate a bit too long and bendy?
Not sure if that's why it's cracked.
