Spooks, I know what you mean. I stood on my phone a couple of weeks ago. Only 'minor' damage, due to my 'slight' build, but quite useless.
Ended up getting a Nokia 6600, with the bluetooth car kit. Nice equipment, but cheesed off that I didn't have insurance. That'll teach me
