Question

Does anyone have one of these in the shed/attic/holding a door open that i could buy off them? Mine came missing the fitting kit so it's a bit useless to me really

Since my injector fitting kit never turned up either, it looks like i'm getting the car mapped on standard injectors at standard fuel pressure It's all a bit standard really

get in touch with john banks and ask him nicely.

we swapped his injectors the other day and I am sure he could loan you the fitting kit until yours arrive.

I actually have the 8 screw spacers here and 3 of the injector spacers and he has the other.

do you have the 90degree fitting for the FPR?

I can remove my FPR with the fittings on the unit to let you get mapped but do not really want to remove the 90degree one

90 degree one??

Looking at the FPR I have, and the oem one there I have no idea about it. (so I don't have the fitting )

Any chance of meeting up later on tonight? I'll be down your way anyway.

Can you mail me please, as profile

John B, YHM mate. Thanks.

IIRC, the OEM reg screws into end of the fuel rail, but the aftermarket ones have a brass appearance 90 degree bend which then fits fuel hose to remote mount the regulator away from the end of the fuel rail. T-uk will show you tonight.

If you are running sensible(ish) boost on a 20G/TMIC, the standard reg should give you enough pressure with 550s to give enough fuel.

Not happy with the K&N at all, felt like it was strangling the car (put the HKS back on once the MAF was gone). Got the 550's on in the morning thanks to some home made gubbins.

It's all done now, anti-lag and all. It feels very similar to John H's car, spools up a bit later but a bit sharper on the throttle.

Delighted with the results.

Dave.

Thumbs up

3tins red bull, 2pro-plus and a tin of irn bru did the job, i'm still shaking 2days later

BTW, never ask to see how my injectors are fitted

That daws device is on the way down to you too, i sent it to john banks along with the injector fitting kit (screws included )

Shame i'm not getting to drive it 'till april now

Dave

Edited to add... Did changing the FPR solve your det problem? Steve also reckoned it would be fuel pressure not keeping up. Maybe changing to 550's and running lower pressure will sort it out.

Otherwise gems has a spark retard setting just for this.... you might have to just bite the bullet

Moses, no word on the map for Ash Steve asked for a phone call if possible.

It's mad, I was asleep for most of the mapping session, snoozing away happily in the back of the scoob....

It's all Dave's fault for making go outside and help him swap his filter over at 1.30 am, then get up 3 and a bit hours later! :0

And BTW, it was raining!

dave,

not fitted the new reg yet. I have thrown on a VTA dump valve and will try that when I have saved up for some petrol.I think if I dump some air out the system , it will richen up the gearchange, then I will try the sx reg. I am sure 550's will cure it if needed.

thanks for the dawes and I will give you something for it when I see you next.

you where on a mission with the injectors, I even hid the cable ties incase it gave you ideas
