For the guys in and around Irvine.
I know there are to be 5 in total, although I've only seen 2 so far. One is heading in to Irvine just opposite the new police station. The other is on Irvine road Kilwinning, near the bus stop opposite Buckreddan house.
I thought they needed to be at accident blackspots. These have been put up on a long straight road. I've Lived here all my life and I've only known of one accident at that location about 20 odd years ago. Kinda obvious why they're there really.
I bet they don't last long before they're vandalised.

Cheers for the warning mate, they just have to spoil our fun dont they.
Seen the buckreddan one the other day when del into the new home thought a wee dunt with the truck might help it..

I've seen these two camera's as well. I don't think either of them are active though otherwise every taxi driver in Irvine would have a ticket by now. Have you seen the speed they go at when the pubs and clubs close? I've seen taxi's go at over 70mph past these locations. One was in front of me at the lights at Marress road, he must have went past the camera at over 50 and it didn't flash.

I think there's to be one on Dalry road in Kilwinning (another long straight), and one at Auchinharvie near the school.

Totally agree re: the taxi's speeding along there in the early hours. Been in one a few times when the driver was doing 60-70mph!

I was gonna rant, but I'll suffice to say that these cameras are sited on sections of road that we (being responsible road users) will most likely never speed along, so no point moaning about them, anyone who gets done by them will be deserving of it.

Thanks for the heads up on their location though
