hello folks
if anyones interested i had my escort cossie timed at bruntingthorpe yesterday using datron timing equipment
its times were
0-60 in 2.94 sec
0-100 in 6.3 sec
1/4 mile 10.8 @ 134.7
topspeed had to be aborted at 178 mph (just over halfway up the runway) due to a misfire
spent all day trying to fix it but it wasnt having it
i was well chuffed even though i didnt get a proper high speed run

Great figures Kevin.
Always amired the marque. Good to see someone taking them to the levels you have
and using it instead of cosseting them. 
Must be reet adrenaline rush going out in that!!

thanks peeps, no more plans for anymore mods at the moment well apart from a set of sticky tyres....its on toyo proxes just now
andy, nope no plans for a high speed caravan tow!
lynne yes bruce did really well with his 191mph run with his RS500
and was good enough to lend me his leads/dizzycap/coil to try to cure my misfire but it didnt

feckin excellent kev mate, i spoke to mad sunny on the phone and he told me u had misfiring probs etc
and not just that it was fecking wet and u were still doing 10 sec quarter miles thats awesome 2.9 secs mate, if u calculate your times in scotland u do 2.6 secs 0 to 60 thats awesome
and anyone who does 10.75 at crail will be 10.4 or less at santa pod or elvington
so your car is scary and it sure scares the **** out of me

it calculates between to 2.4 to 2.6 so it can be any of them
put it this way jocce's superevo that was in the banzai mag does a quarter in 10.86 his car has been timed to do 0 to 60 in 2.4 secs officially at a few races but yours is faster so i reckon it might be lower than that so u are in good shape

lynne to 60 and the quarter mile is the real world
thats why i rather prefer a top speed of 150 coz u dont drive at 190 everday
pickup speed is where its at
and rod tarrys rear wheel cossie is fast

thanks chop, i never have the passenger seat in it at crail anymore passengers slow you down 
i,m doing atrackday at knockhill on the 29th if you want to come along for a spin round?
btw my dash came from ford like that! they cut a mk 5 escy dash to fit the escos

lol kev lol i prefer 150 miles per hr
but im gonna make it 180 plus only coz im always hitting the rev limiter mate to prevent that i need to change the gearing
im just saying to lynne about your car, andys car is cool but your car is the one i will have anyday for sheer power for everyday use not for top speed

lol @ kev ok mate if u want top speed sure
and robertio mate short gearboxs mean awesome quick accelaration but my prob was i was always loosing time coz u get that excited and nervous that u forget to change gear quick and i was always hitting the rev limiter all the time , too much of that was also a problem and caused my engine to blow coz i was always on the redline

lol lynne see when i get the adrenalin rushes my mind goes wonky and i forget that the evo has 5 gears thats why i want a proper seqential box or a dog box at least i wont loose more time using the clutch
