John,

Yeah we know m8
well andy does 440 with 2litres
nah nah na na na
Not on Sunday past though fella We know there was a
small dip in the transmission curve on Sunday and the results were
328 @ wheel, so taking average calculated xmission loss as 86BHP that equates to approx 414 BHP bud and the torque figure was 313 Lbft (which would need reworked and I can`t be fugged doin ).
Good figures, which I`d be happy if I had ATM, but I`ll leave the man himself to decide if he`ll tell u the figures or not

Glad 2 see I aven`t lost the knack of baiting

got it wrong mate , I am happy for him and I was sure it would be over 515bhp hence the wee

re. andy's car. his boost was all over the place due to having a few old springs holding the wastegate shut. he knew it was not going to be a proper run but still did it out of interest. it will be interesting to see how this car does on the new rollers at dalgety bay with tranny losses.

now what you going to do with your car so that you can keep up. it sounds like low to mid 300's are just no use anymore

must be why you dont run theses days

Hey pretty boy,

U`r on the nose there m8, 300 is old hat, however in the right hands it can be made to seem like a lot more. Like I say "it`s not how you stand by your car"
With the amount of experimentation going on with the scoobs by certain individuals (myself included) it`s becoming easier and common knowledge how to push the envelope that little bit more. I`m in no hurry to dyno "red" as the peebs in the know are aware. I`d rather make sure she`s right, than put 2gether a half a55ed attempt and i`ve still got loadsa stuff 2 do b4 i`m happy(including potentially a new gearbox after the run home on Sunday ) which aint gonna happen this month but don`t u worry fella when she`s ready u`ll know

Mo,

U sure it`s no a ford u`ve got m8
(Sorry Kev couldn`t resist that 1 )

sorry guys to disappoint you, i am not comparing my car to anyone.

i was at star today, ran on good old fashioned optimax, 1.65bar of boost, and got 473.5bhp, 437lb/ft of troque. with 362 at the wheels.

it was just an initial map to see if i am going in the right direction and also because i was starting to disbelieve my injector duty cycle figures but hey they were right!!!!!!!

Well done Sam - excellent results with particularly good torque figure Had hoped to see the car run on Sunday as Pete eventually let it out that you were the "surprise visitor".
Have fun and be safe

thanks guys

quite pleased with the result and starting to get worried about my AYC

i know that i can get to 500bhp easily now, probably 500/450lb/ft at 1.8-1.9bar max. the comp map should keep producing power all teh way to 1.9 bar effciently. but should be ok for 2.4bar

i think i will leave it just as is for now, ( may even drop the boost a little as it is a handfull in the wet !!)

what is the point of stressing the engine.

pete,

i`ve still got loadsa stuff 2 do b4 i`m happy(including potentially a new gearbox after the run home on Sunday

no again

this is the main reason I am not going any higher until we find a box that can take it. I could take loosing a box a year but not every second week like some.

since upping to power I find myself going out wondering if this will be the boxes last thrash , even with my , low by todays standards level of power.

sam,

well done, would love that torque.

was there a reason that third gear was used?
