Just read that Crail is on tour in 2004

Crail Raceway is on tour and secured 1 Sunday a month from March onwards at EDZELL AIRFIELD .It is situated 1/2 way between Dundee and Aberdeen first turn off from North waterbridge 3 minutes from the dual carriageway and you are there. The time it takes from Forth bridge is 1 and1/2 hours.Full details of dates and times will follow before the end of 2003.

Jesus! Bang goes any chance of a cheap trackday then! What will Crail charge per person I wonder? £20,£30.........£3 frigging grand! Money well spent though for one portaloo and the most obnoxious marshalls in history! Yeah book me up!

That would suit me better. Hate driving all the way down and back but its good when you get there as long as its busyish and good weather.
With any luck the road surface wont resemble a mine field either and there may be better officialling, lower prices, better marshalls, better safety precautions, better toilets, better food stalls etc too!
I kinda got sick of Crail for all of the above and would only go back if I happened to be in the area on a nice day. Its not worth the drive of 200 odd miles, 2 tanks of fuel etc. I reckon it costs £100+ for the day in real terms after entrance, strip fees, petrol, wear/tear, meals etc. The g/f doesnt find it as much fun as Knockhill either.
