Sorry, meant to ask who you were when I was chatting to you today... I was the guy with the Mk4 Golf that was getting chipped.

Reasonably happy with my chip... think that induction kit may be heading for the for sale section though, and I'll put back on the standard air box with a K&N panel filter!

nice speaking to you!

Nice clean car BTW!

Hi Mike

It was me you were talking to.

How was the run back up? Did you feel the extra torque it gave out? Should have been good with over 200LB ft from the 1800.

Hi Alan, nice to meet you!

That's 217lb/ft thank you very much! Bit dissapointed with the BHP, but I guess I was fed a crock of mince from the guy who sold me the chip as Jim said a non-DBW Golf would never get over 200bhp off a chip. 185BHP was ok I guess... a fair bit up on the standard 150bhp... and maybe a few extra BHP to be had on the Optimax program! Also the fact that there were 4 runs on the trot meant that the engine was getting hot... (c'mon, I am loooking for any excuses here )

The drive home was fun thanks

Mike

You don't need to look for excuses. Look at what you paid for the performance increase in comparison to what you should have paid... Cheap increase IMO.

John
I was thinking of popping along to your place after Star, but i wasn't sure if you were working there or still away?

Don't know mate... Don't think so! However, if you are getting ready to dish out x-mas pressies I might just be that Mike16v

If the Mike16v you know had a Mk3 Golf GTI and just sold it for a Mk4 Golf Turbo, then yip, that's me! Otherwise, probably not!
