well...

the PIAA driving lamps are well... driving lamps... spot lamps... daylighters... whatever you want to call them they're for lighting up the world when no-one is in front of you. These are operated on full beam yes.

If they were fog lamps... i'm sure they would be called fog lamps and not driving lamps.

Hope this helps

oh and my copy if 'car maintenance for dummies' has been overused :P can't give it to you

Question

ok no laughing now but... i got my MY99 turbo in july and it has PIAA driving lamps and up till now i havent needed to have them on but as this morning was quite foggy i thought i'd take the covers off and use them, that was until i tried to turn them on in my driveway by putting the lights on then pressing my fog lamp button (as i do in my sport) but they didnt come on i did however find that they came on when i put my full beams on (with the fog lamp button still on)...???

My question is this.... is this right ? or should they come on without needing to put my full beams on...?
I am aware i should be probably shut in a small room and made to read 'car maintenance for dummies' for asking such a stooopid question but there ye go...any help would be appreciated.

Thumbs up

If they are PIAA's then don't go using them on foggy days

They'll be wired to come on with your main beams as Jason was saying and even through fog with suitably blind anyone
